Visvijvers.com puts every fishing pond in Belgium on one map: trout ponds, carp ponds, mixed ponds and other waters, with the fish you will find there.
Why
Looking for a fishing pond in Belgium means digging through club websites, Facebook pages and old forums. We bring it together: one map, per province and per fish, with the ponds closest to you first.
Where the data comes from
- Most pond locations come from OpenStreetMap, the free map of the world made by volunteers.
- Fish, access, phone and address come from the pond's own website or from angling guides.
- Where nobody names the fish, we show "observed fish": records of fish near the pond from GBIF. That is an observation, not a stocking list.
- Photos come from Wikimedia Commons, with the photographer and licence under each one.
We check what we can, but ponds close, change hands or change their stock. Always call or check the pond itself before you go.
