Accuracy of the information
The data on this site comes from public sources (see About) and from visitors. We do our best to keep it right, but cannot guarantee it is complete or up to date. Prices, opening hours, fish and access rules can change. Check them with the pond itself; no rights can be derived from the information on this site.
You are responsible for following the rules that apply to a water, such as a fishing licence, the pond's own rules and closed seasons. A pond on the map does not mean you may simply fish there.

Links to other sites
We link to pond websites, map services and sources. We are not responsible for their content.
Privacy
- No cookies, no tracking. We set no cookies and use no analytics or advertising services.
- Your location. "Near me" asks your browser for your location. It stays in your browser and is not sent to us.
- The form. What you fill in (a pond and, if you like, your name and e-mail address) reaches us as an e-mail. We use it only to update the map and to reply if needed. We do not keep it in a database and do not pass it on. To stop spam, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are human.
- Third-party services. Your browser loads the map from OpenStreetMap, photos from Wikimedia Commons and place search results from Nominatim (OpenStreetMap). These services see your IP address. The site itself runs on Cloudflare.
- Your rights. You can ask which data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted, via contact@visvijvers.com. You can file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.

- Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL).
- Fish observations via GBIF, under each dataset's licence.
- Photos from Wikimedia Commons, with the author and licence under each one.
- The map uses Leaflet (BSD licence).
